Original views in oils inspired by what I see around me on Fidalgo Island, I now do mostly commissioned animal portraits focusing on those beautiful patterns in fur and feathers, small landscapes in themselves. Reproductions of my art are available as quality prints.and notecards.

THG - Two Horses Grazing
Two horses grazing in a field. That's Mount Rainer in the distance. (16x20 oil)
"For You, oh Lord, have made me glad by what You have done. I will sing for the joy at he works of Your hands" Psalm 92:4
CSF - "Cazz" in a Sunny Field
This is Cazz, a gray Arabian horse, enjoying a sunny day in a lush field with Lake Campbell in the background. (11x14 oil)
"This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it" Psalm 118:24
GHO - Great Horned Owl
We often hear the calls of this large owl (Bubo virginianus), also known as a Hoot Owl. At least one lives in the woods behind our house on Fidalgo Island, and I captured the photo which inspired this painting. The talons are very impressive! (18x24 oil)
"The eyes of all look to You, and You give them food in due season" Psalm 145:15
LEF - Lake Erie Grocery, Frosted
Open pretty much all year, this is our closest shopping spot, just down the road. In the background, Mount Erie is the highest point in Anacortes--looks like the winding road to the top might be closed by snow here. (22x28 oil)
