Two contiguous bridges connect Fidalgo and Whidbey islands in Northwest Washington State. That's my parents' boat decked out in Christmas lights passing under the iconic Deception Pass bridge. (18x24 oil)

We often hear the calls of this large owl (Bubo virginianus), also known as a Hoot Owl. At least one lives in the woods behind our house on Fidalgo Island, and I captured the photo which inspired this painting. The talons are very impressive! (18x24 oil)

Open pretty much all year, this is our closest shopping spot, just down the road. In the background, Mount Erie is the highest point in Anacortes--looks like the winding road to the top might be closed by snow here. (22x28 oil)
